Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is all fired up, and if his latest tweet is any indication, fans could be in for a treat.

Ahead of their season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center, Curry hyped up the return of the NBA and their highly anticipated showdown with the Purple and Gold. While he didn't make any promises, the overall vibe he gave suggests that he's more than ready to put on a show for the fans.

Both the Warriors and Lakers had disappointing 2020-21 campaigns, with the Dubs failing to move on to the playoffs after losing their play-in games and the Lakers suffering a first-round exit. With that said, it is safe to expect both teams to be hungry and motivated this new season.

And what better way to start their redemption season than a win against their rivals over the past decade?

The Warriors have a fairly different roster with the arrival of their rookies and a slew of new players, although they still have the same core or Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and the returning Andre Iguodala. As for the Lakers, they will be featuring their new Big 3 of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook after a massive offseason overhaul.

Curry's matchups with LeBron are always exciting, and by the looks of it, Tuesday's showdown won't be different–or even better.
