Golden State Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry admits that he isn't quite sure how well James Harden and Russell Westbrook will mesh with the Houston Rockets.

Houston made major headlines over the summer when they announced that they had acquired Russell Westbrook from Oklahoma City. It was a solid move, and it meant that he would be reunited with Harden, his former Thunder teammate.

At this point, it's not clear how well Harden and Westbrook will perform in Houston. Curry, who recently noted that the Warriors are still aiming for a championship, says he won't have a clear gauge on their cohesiveness until he sees them up close.

Via Sam Amick of The Athletic:

“I have no clue, because we haven’t seen them up close so you can kind of speculate all you want,” Curry said when asked how he thinks Harden and Westbrook will mesh in Houston. “I feel like their friendship off the court will hopefully, or most likely, help in terms of trying to create that on-court chemistry. I mean they have a very specific style with James and the way they’ve been playing for the last three years, and it’s been successful, obviously, for a good amount of the year. So I don’t know how much they can change that. But Russ is an unbelievable talent who can add another dynamic – if they work in tandem.”

As Curry noted, the key to success for Harden and Westbrook will be working in tandem. Both are known as ball-dominant players, but they'll need to share the rock to make a serious postseason run.

Harden and Westbrook played well in Wednesday night's preseason matchup against the San Antonio Spurs. Although the Rockets were defeated, 128-114, the dynamic duo combined for 44 points. Harden led Houston in scoring, racking up 40 points on 13-of-27 shooting from the field (7-of-16 from beyond the arc), 10 rebounds and seven assists. Westbrook, on the other hand, turned in 14 points, four assists, four rebounds and one steal.

So far, the reunion seems to be going well. Let's see if it's a trend that continues throughout the regular season.
