Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry went on the time machine to revisit one of his finest moments — crossing a then-proud LA Clippers leader Chris Paul in 2015 and leaving him on the floor before burying a swift baseline jumper to seal it as one of his most iconic career moments.

The Warriors point guard sat down with Omar Raja of House of Highlights to relive it all:

“I don't even remember the move, all I remember is when I caught it I was like, ‘I have to make this,' because it would be awful not to,” said Curry. “But then you go back — I've watched this countless times — I just watch every single person on my bench, the first angle of the camera, you can see everybody's reaction. I'd watch one player and then watch another player's reaction. Andre Iguodala throws a water bottle as high as he can. Draymond is in the back, he wasn't playing that night, he was wearing a suit, he's over there going crazy.

“It was a cool moment, for sure, but you got to make the shot.”

This was perhaps one of the defining moments of his MVP season. Every MVP candidate must have at least one moment that shows he's above and beyond the talent level of the league, and this was Curry asserting himself not only as the best point guard in the game, but as a dominant force among all his peers.

It was perhaps especially sweet doing it against Paul, who was his mentor coming into the league and now a renegade who aims to disrupt every player he comes across.
