Apparently, Kendrick Perkins and Stephen Curry had/has some beef rooting from an incident from the 2018 NBA Finals when the Golden State Warriors faced off against the Cleveland Cavaliers — at least according to Perkins.

The retired 6-foot-10 big man recently talked about this incident on ESPN's “Hoop Streams” on Thursday, and Perkins continued to claim his innocence.

“First of all, I don't know what I did wrong,” Perkins recalled, via Marcus White of NBC Sports. “Right? I'm sitting down. I didn't move, I didn't do nothing. I'm sitting down, chilling, right? I'm minding my business. We're getting beat, he's doing his thing.

“He said that I tried to trip him. I'm like, ‘Bro, I didn't move my legs. I didn't stick my leg out. I was sitting the same way the whole time. What are you talking about?' ” And I was just like — you know what I told him? I said, ‘Steph, man. Chill out, man. For real, before I make you smell my cologne.' “

Before anything else, here is a clip of the incident in question:

To be fair to Perkins, literally did not do anything at that time. As he said, he did not move his legs, and perhaps this is what made Curry upset — the fact that Perkins left it there even if he saw a blindsided Curry was going to trip over him.

Whatever the case may be, though, we have to agree that Perkins was definitely chilling at that time. That was pretty much the case for him that entire season, with the former NBA champ playing in a grand total of just one game for the Cavs throughout the 2017-18 campaign.

He also did say that Curry was doing his thing and was beating them down, which is another thing he got right. To recall, the Warriors ended up sweeping the Cavs in that Finals series, which is likely something that does not stick well with Perk to this very day.
