The Golden State Warriors gave LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers a stern lecture on how to win an NBA title by mercilessly sweeping the Cavs in four games during this year’s edition of the NBA Finals. When it comes to real-world schooling, though, it’s the Warriors who stand in awe at the charitable achievement of James – at least from the viewpoint of two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry.

Reacting to a post on his Twitter timeline about James’ newly-opened I Promise School, Curry didn’t hide his amazement of the said educational institution and its mission to help kids from underprivileged families.

Stephen Curry grew up with the luxury of having anything every kid would need. After all, he is a son of a millionaire pro athlete. That said, he is aware that not every child grows up in a favorable environment just like he did, thus his appreciation of James’ efforts to help take away the burden of sending their children to school from less fortunate families in Akron.

While Curry is not building a school himself, he has been involved in a number of charitable causes. He once travelled to Tanzania to help families prevent Malaria by giving away nets in association with the United Nations. He’s also partnered with NBA Cares, and the Animal Rescue Foundation. In his way, Curry has also done his part in forwarding civic causes.
