We've all heard it in the past: Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter of all time. Based on what we've seen from the Golden State Warriors superstar throughout his career, it's actually hard to argue against this notion.

For ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith, however, he firmly believes that Curry is by far the GOAT shooter simply because it was an act of God:

Stephen A. does have a knack for exaggerating his statements to make his point, but this time around, he's actually making a lot of sense.

We haven't seen anyone shoot the ball as Curry does. The Warriors star literally changed the game with his unbridled acumen from distance. At times, it's hard to fathom how Steph does what he does virtually every single night. Surely, God had to have a hand in that, right?

Despite being the chosen one, however, Curry has been unable to lift his side to glory this season. He has done it many times in the past, but this year has been especially challenging for the two-time league MVP. With Kevin Durant no longer in the picture, and Klay Thompson still on the sidelines, Steph has had no choice but to carry the Warriors for pretty much the entire campaign.

It has been anything but a breeze for Curry as Golden State continues to fight for dear life in the Western Conference. Such is the state of the NBA today. Not even having the GOAT shooter on your team guarantees even a playoff spot in what has become a league dominated by superteams.
