Over the past couple of years, Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has proven that he is much more than just amassing personal accolades for himself. This season is no different, with the 30-year-old claiming that he does not mind being omitted from the list of this year's potential MVP winners.

Speaking to Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic, Curry was very straightforward about not being a front-runner for the league's most prestigious individual award. It appears that the three-time NBA champ has other, more important things to concern himself with.

“There is no narrative,” Curry said. “Every year, there are a few players in the mix. This year, it’s like five deep. If you’re not in that conversation …”

“I don’t care,” he said, seamlessly executing a shoulder shrug, smirk and eye roll simultaneously. “I just know the narrative isn’t there so I would have to go above and beyond. So, it’s whatever. I’m blessed to have three rings. I’m good.”

Curry failed to mention that he's been there and done that already. As we all know, he bagged back-to-back MVP titles between 2015 and 2016. He has already proven on two separate occasions that he has the capability to be the best player in the league. So in this regard, there is nothing more left to prove.

Moreover, Curry is surely more focused on his team making history. The Warriors are closing in on an elusive three-peat, and this definitely takes precedent versus adding another MVP trophy to is collection.
