What an outstanding Game 4 from Stephen Curry. He led the Golden State Warriors to a massive 107-97 victory to even up the 2022 NBA Finals at two games apiece against the Boston Celtics. After already having three strong performances, he just posted what is perhaps his best-ever performance in a Finals game.

Curry recorded a game-high 43 points on 14-26 shooting (to go along with 7-14 from deep) and 1o rebounds. His shooting has already given him plenty of records in the NBA Finals but his Game 4 masterpiece put him in the company of legends Magic Johnson and Jerry West. They are the only other point guards with a 40-point, 10-board game in the Finals. When expanded to all guards, only Michael Jordan and Dwyane Wade join the list.

The most important aspect of Curry's performance was that he kept going strong in the fourth quarter. He had previously struggled late in games in this series. In Game 4's final period, though, he led the Warriors to a very strong performance on both sides of the ball. He scored 10 points as Golden State outscored Boston 28-19.

The decorated career of Stephen Curry to this point still has one big omission: an NBA Finals MVP trophy. He has been a huge reason for the Warriors' three championships but has never taken home the extra hardware. If he can lead the Dubs to victory, he should easily be voted the MVP.

With the series heading back to San Francisco, Curry will need to keep up his fantastic play. Game 5 tips off on Monday.
