Golden State Warriors guard Damion Lee had a stellar game in Stephen Curry's return against the Toronto Raptors, going for 23 points on 8-of-17 shooting in 36 minutes of action. However, Lee committed a string of gaffes in the final minute that helped deny the Warriors' comeback bid in a 121-113 loss.

It wasn't pretty:

While it was a brutal stretch for Lee that made for easy mockery, he got picked up by his teammates after the game. Eric Paschall first came to Lee's defense, and then Curry himself got in on the action:

It's good to see teammates, especially Curry, pick Lee up after one bad stretch ruined an otherwise good performance. Curry is a terrific leader, and he wanted to help deflect blame away from the 27-year-old.

Lee has worked hard to earn a sizable role on this Warriors team. He went undrafted in 2016 after playing college ball at both Drexel and Louisville, and then he bounced around a bit before landing a two-way contract with the Warriors last season. He got another two-way contract this season before recently earning a full-fledged NBA deal.

As for Stephen Curry, he had 23 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in 27 minutes in his return to the court.
