The Golden State Warriors are expected to offer Kevin Durant the full five-year, $221 million max to convince him to remain with the Warriors once free agency opens, and Stephen Curry is expected to join Bob Myers in meeting with Durant, according to Marcus Thompson of The Athletic.

Myers and Curry will be meeting with Durant in New York.

This could be rather significant, as a big reason why Durant originally signed with the Warriors during the summer of 2016 was because Curry wanted him on the team, so if Curry once again expresses his desire to have Durant as a teammate, it could go a long way in convincing the superstar to re-sign with Golden State.

Durant led the Warriors to back-to-back titles in each of his first two years with the team, winning Finals MVP honors both times.

The 30-year-old appeared primed to lead the Dubs to their third straight championship this season, but in Game 5 of the second round of the playoff against the Houston Rockets, Durant suffered a calf strain. He then proceeded to miss the closeout Game 6 and proceeded to miss the entire Western Conference Finals, where the Warriors swept the Portland Trail Blazers.

Durant was then sidelined for the first four games of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors as the Warriors fell behind 3-1, but he returned in Game 5 and got off to a great start, scoring 11 points in the first quarter. However, in the second quarter, he went to put a move on Serge Ibaka and crumpled to the floor, suffering a torn Achilles. He will miss all of next season regardless with whom he signs.
