Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry is putting the league on notice, saying he feels like he's a better player now than he was during his 2015-16 MVP season.

Curry was the unanimous MVP during the 2015-16 campaign. He led the league in scoring at 30.1 points per game and shot 50.4 percent from the field and 45.4 percent from beyond the arc. Golden State won a record 73 regular-season games.

This season, Curry is putting up 28.6 points while shooting 48.8 percent overall and 44.4 percent from the 3-point line. His numbers aren't the same from his 2016 MVP year, but Curry believes he has expanded his game and become more mature:

“I definitely feel like I’m better than I was three years ago,” Curry told Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports. “It’s a good feeling knowing successes I’ve had personally don’t get in the way of progress with the team, getting better and finding ways to expand your game. Experience, more maturity and being challenged in new ways definitely helps.”

Along with his two MVP awards, Stephen Curry has three rings and is on his way to winning his fourth this season. The 30-year-old is quietly establishing himself as one of the greatest players of all time, and when it's all said and done, Steph might be on the Mount Rushmore of NBA greats.
