Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry vented out his frustration after absorbing yet another blowout loss, this time against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night. Though LeBron James and company are clearly the more talented team, the two-time MVP still wanted to see his teammates put up a better fight.

Via Nick Friedell of ESPN:

“We've got to play better,” Curry told reporters after the 128-97 defeat. “We have to develop a winning attitude every single night, and honestly, we've got to get sick of getting blown out, because that's embarrassing. We have to have some pride about how we're playing. You can lose games — that's going to happen — but not like that.”

As often is the case, Stephen Curry served as the only bright spot with a team-high 27 points. Andrew Wiggins added 15 points, while Jordan Poole contributed 14 points of his own as well.

Meanwhile, Montrezl Harrell stepped up in the continued absence of Anthony Davis and led the team with 27 points, while LeBron James produced 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Despite being shorthanded, the defending champion Lakers still dominated the Warriors en route to a 128-97 victory. Due to the loss, the Dubs returned back to .500 with a 20-20 record, which is good for ninth in the Western Conference.

Needless to say, Curry will definitely need to receive more help from his teammates if they want to turn things around in the second half of the season. Though winning is clearly the most important goal, giving their best effort until the final buzzer despite trailing by a huge margin will show that the Warriors still possess a certain level of pride in themselves on the floor.

Hopefully, Stephen Curry and his team will be able to get back on the right track as they seek to barge in the playoff picture moving forward.
