Before the Golden State Warriors practiced early Monday afternoon, superstar Stephen Curry got a surprise visit by the US Open Trophy.

Pretty cool moment for Curry. He is known to be a golf enthusiast. Who knows, maybe he will take on golf after his career in the NBA is over.

We know Curry also participated in a golf tournament over the summer, but he failed the cut. He participated at the Ellie Mae Classic.

He finished +17 in the tournament. In round one, Curry finished with a 71 and in round two, he finished with a 86.

There have also been reports of Curry hosting a PGA tour event, per the Golf Channel. Laura Neal, a PGA tour spokesman talks about the impact Curry brings.

“There's no doubt Stephen Curry brings a young, new, diverse audience to the PGA Tour through his passion for this great game and support for the community,” said PGA Tour spokeswoman Laura Neal to ESPN. “We're excited about the prospect of partnering with an iconic athlete of his caliber in the future.”

With golf being his second side job, it shouldn't surprise anyone if he tries to be a professional golfer at some point. It also seems like pros in the golfing world are also starting to take notice of Curry's game on the green.

“I remember telling everybody that his short game was really, really good,” Jaeger said, highlighting a short-sided chip to a foot on the par-5 third hole, a ‘high nipper’ that stopped on a dime. “His chipping was pure.”

“I think he impressed a lot of people and shocked a lot of people,” added fellow TOUR rookie Sam Ryder, who played alongside Jaeger and Curry for the first two rounds at TPC Stonebrae, with Curry besting Ryder (74 to 75) in the opening round.

“I think the expectations were a lot lower than what he delivered, but it was kind of a testament to his natural athletic ability and his grit.”

Both Stephen Jaeger and Sam Ryder, and others talked about Curry's golf game.
