Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry helped change basketball by ushering in the 3-point revolution, but there are some haters out there who blame him for ruining the game because there are so many kids trying to emulate him by chucking up crazy shots from all over the court.

The Warriors sharpshooter went on the Knuckleheads pod and gave a public service announcement to all these people:

“I'm gonna use this moment to get on my soapbox. Stop tagging me in all these horrible basketball clips of people taking bad shots telling me I ruined the game. I did not tell y'all to shoot that shot. I did not say, “Shoot that shot.”

Curry is apparently getting tagged on social media with clip after clip of kids taking wild shots and trying to be like him. It's only natural for kids to try to copy their favorite stars, but it's certainly not the Warriors star's fault that he's so good at hitting from basically anywhere on the court. It's not like Steph is chucking and missing all the time. The dude is a flamethrower from everywhere. And, like he said, he's not telling young players to be launching with reckless abandon.

At some point, it's on young players and their coaches to rein in any Steph-like tendencies when it comes to shot selection … unless a player can hit shots just like Steph. Then by all means fire away and maybe be the next big thing in the NBA.
