If the offseason is any indication, then the NBA better be ready for Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.

Warriors newcomer Alec Burks revealed that something is different about Curry this time around, noting that the two-time MVP is definitely “locked in” heading into the 2019-20 season.

“He's different,” Burks said, per Nick Friedell of ESPN. “I don't know what he got, he's different. Just playing against him seven, eight years and then actually being around him every day, playing pickup with him, scrimmaging with him. He's in a different type of mood right now. He's locked in. It's great to be a part of, not against.”

Curry is set to have a bigger responsibility with the Warriors, not only as the team's oldest member but also as their top player. With Kevin Durant gone and Klay Thompson out for the majority of the year, it's now up to Curry to lead the Dubs back to the playoffs and, hopefully, to title contention.

Golden State head coach Steve Kerr recently said that Curry is at his peak mentally and physically, suggesting that a big year is ahead for the three-time champion.

Steph has proven in 2015 that he can lead a team to the NBA Finals. Now, it's time for him to step up once again and show the world what he's capable of — away from his Splash Brother and the gigantic shadow of Kevin Durant.
