Stephen Curry had an amazing performance for the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Despite their 123-109 loss, the two-time MVP finished with 47 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. He also hit six 3-pointers in the process. He's the first player in NBA history to achieve this particular stat line:

The Warriors came into Game 3 without Klay Thompson, who suffered a hamstring injury in Game 2. Kevin Durant was also ruled out for the contest despite making significant progress in his recovery from his calf strain. Kevon Looney is done for the series.

On paper, Golden State still had enough talent to beat Toronto if things went right, but aside from Curry, no one was able to step up.

The same cannot be said for the Raptors, who came into Game 3 with a purpose. All of their starters scored in double figures, led by Kawhi Leonard's 30 points. Kyle Lowry, who scored a total of 20 points in the first two games of the series, finished with 23, to go along with his nine assists and four rebounds.

This marked the first time the Warriors lost in the NBA Finals at home since Game 7 of their 2016 championship series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Golden State is hoping both Thompson and Durant will be ready for Game 4 on Friday, as they will be in close to a must-win situation. Going down 3-1 against the Raptors is something they don't want to get themselves into, especially with two games potentially left in Toronto.

However, if Klay and KD are not able to suit up in the next game, the Warriors will need to find a way to get more production from the other guys, from Draymond Green to DeMarcus Cousins to Shaun Livingston. It will need to be a total team effort in support of Stephen Curry.
