Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry will return to the lineup on Thursday against Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors, the team the Dubs lost to in the 2019 NBA Finals in six games.

To recall, the Raptors deployed a box-and-1 defensive tactic against Curry and the Warriors last June. The scheme puts four players in a “box” guarding the corners of the court, with one defensive player attached to an offensive player and roaming outside the box.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Curry said he's ready for anything, including the aforementioned box-and-1 defense:

Curry is the greatest shooter in NBA history, but odds are he's going to be a little rusty against the Raptors. After all, the Warriors star hasn't played in an NBA game since Oct. 30 at the start of this season.

Curry was averaging 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game on the season for the Warriors before he hurt his hand against the Phoenix Suns. The two-time league MVP and three-time NBA champion has career averages of 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.6 assists with the Warriors while shooting 47.6 percent from the field, 43.5 percent from beyond the arc and 90.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Curry is making $40,231,758 this season. He signed a $200 million contract with the Warriors in the summer of 2017. It will be fun to watch Steph and Lowry go at it on Thursday on national television. However, don't expect Lowry to take it easy on Curry.
