The trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest trios in the history of the NBA — if not the best. With those three players, the Warriors became arguably the quintessential franchise of the 2010s, having won three titles in that decade and appearing in the finals a total of five times.

The Warriors are also a win away in their current second-round series against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks from matching a rare NBA feat last pulled off by Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls back in the '90s, per ESPN Stats & Info.

Tonight, the Warriors will look to be the first franchise to reach the NBA Finals 6 times in an 8-season span since the Michael Jordan-Scottie Pippen Bulls from 1991-98.

The last time the Warriors reach the NBA finals was in 2019 and they lost that one to Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors. Golden State clawed its way to where it is today, enduring two seasons of missing the playoffs, one of which saw them win just 15 games in total.

Of the four teams remaining in the 2022 NBA Playoffs, the Warriors are considered the favorite to win the Larry O'Brien Trophy which would complete one of the most compelling redemption arcs in the history of the NBA.
