The game between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors on Thursday was a highly anticipated one, being the first matchup between two title favorites this season. However, it did not turn out to be the shootout many thought it would be, as Kyrie Irving and Stephen Curry struggled to knock down their shots from the field.

Their shooting woes were very evident through three quarters, as both superstar point guards only had two made field goals. To put into perspective how bad their shooting was, Zaza Pachulia had matched their combined makes with three buckets of his own prior to the start of the fourth quarter.

Despite the cold night from Kyrie Irving and Stephen Curry, their teammates were up to the challenge and stepped up their games for them.

The Celtics ultimately won on the night, 92-88, with Irving taking charge in the fourth quarter, finishing with 16 points, on 4-of-16 shooting, to go along with five rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one block. Curry, on the other hand, had nine points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals, witnessing the Warriors' winning streak cut at seven games.
