It looks like NBA legend Isiah Thomas fell in love with Stephen Curry even more after witnessing the Golden State Warriors star explode against the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

Curry banked 43 points on Friday night, going 14-of-26 from the field–including 7-of-14 from the 3-point line. Thomas, for his part, was simply amazed how Curry made shooting look so easy in the game. He is widely considered the greatest shooter of all time, and the Warriors star cemented that status in the mind of the former Detroit Pistons superstar.

“He was shooting the ball so perfectly. It was coming off his fingertips and it was like in slow motion in the air [and] you can see how many times the ball was rolling, and then when it hit the net it was like ‘BAAAA!' I've seen some great shooting performances … That one I saw in the Garden the other night, it was one of the greatest shooting performances I ever saw,” Thomas said on SiriusXM NBA Radio.

It's not hard to see where Isiah Thomas is coming from. That Game 4 display, after all, can be considered Stephen Curry's greatest-ever performance in the NBA Finals.

The Warriors really needed to win the contest, but with the odds against them as they play in a hostile environment, what Curry did was nothing short of spectacular. Not to mention that he did it with so little offensive help given the fact that the rest of the Golden State starters combined for just 39 points.

Luckily for Thomas and every NBA fan, we're still guaranteed to watch Curry in the NBA Finals for at least two more games. Here's to hoping he exceeds his performance the last time out.
