There are few players you trust more on a basketball court than Stephen Curry. That's why when the Golden State Warriors star decides to spend $180,000 on some artwork, you have to give him the benefit of the doubt.

According to Tim Copeland of The Block, the Warriors star made a huge investment into the Bored Ape Yacht Club amounting to a grand total of 55 Ethereum or approximately $180k by today's standards. Curry even changed his profile picture on Twitter to the ape he had bought, to flex his latest six-digit purchase a little bit.

Stephen Curry Warriors Bored Ape

Stephen Curry's ape is one of thousands of different ape NFTs from their collection. The Warriors star gained access to a members-only club. Their website explains in more detail what the club is all about.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club is a collection of 10,000 unique Bored Ape NFTs— unique digital collectibles living on the Ethereum blockchain. Your Bored Ape doubles as your Yacht Club membership card, and grants access to members-only benefits, the first of which is access to THE BATHROOM, a collaborative graffiti board. Future areas and perks can be unlocked by the community through roadmap activation.

What goes on in that club is probably something we won't ever have access to. But if you're sitting on a bunch of ETH, then you too can join the Warriors star with an exclusive membership.
