Stephen Curry shocked a lot of people when he reacted uncharacteristically in the final minute of the Golden State Warriors' game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday. With less than a minute to go, he was seen very upset after no foul was called when he drove to the basket, and threw his mouthpiece to the direction of the referee. It resulted to him getting ejected, and facing a possible fine or even a suspension from the league office.

The former back-to-back MVP took to his Twitter account later that night to let his followers know that he regrets his outburst. He understands that it should not have happened, and that being mindful of the role model that he is will help prevent himself from letting his emotions get the better of him again.

The Warriors ultimately lost their second game in their first three outings as the Grizzlies pulled off the upset, 111-101. Despite finishing with 37 points, six rebounds, and three assists, the Warriors need Stephen Curry to be on the court as much as they can.

It remains to be seen if Curry will receive an additional sanction from the NBA or not, but the Oakland faithful are hoping he’ll be able to see action for the Dubs on Monday when they face the Dallas Mavericks. Although it’s still early in the season, stringing a few wins together is important, as it could set them up for more success this year.
