Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry served notice to the rest of the NBA he was still one of the best players in basketball this past season, and he's already back in the lab.

Curry posted an Instagram story captioned “Back at it!!!! Day 1” as he worked out at the Warriors' facilities.

Steph is wasting little time getting back to work. The Warriors were eliminated in the NBA play-in tournament just over two weeks ago, but Curry is working like he's a second-year player with something to prove.

Of course, Curry doesn't have much to prove to anyone at this stage of his career.

The superstar point guard won his second scoring title this past season and practically dragged an injury-riddled Warriors team to the play-in tournament. Curry averaged 32.0 points on 48.2 percent shooting from the field, including 42.1 percent from beyond the arc on a career-high 12.7 attempts per game. His 65.5 true shooting percentage was the third-highest mark of his career.

Golden State will have some things in its favor heading into next season. Klay Thompson should make his return from an Achilles injury sometime either in late-October or November. James Wiseman will likely be ready for training camp and hungry to prove himself in his second season with the Warriors.

Still, the Dubs' success ultimately seems to hinge on their 33-year-old point guard, who–despite winning a pair of MVPs and three titles–only seems to be growing in his hunger to improve and win at this stage of his career.

Curry's work ethic will likely inspire some of his teammates to get back to work.
