The basketball gods are currently being unkind to the Golden State Warriors. After five years of shifting the paradigm of the NBA, the Dubs are grounded. As of this writing, they are preparing for their worst season of the Steve Kerr era.

Injuries to Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have gutted the Warriors' potential title run. With newcomer D'Angelo Russell already hampered by injuries early on, it all but confirmed that Golden State looking forward to next season to make a run.

Despite the bleak picture, Curry has remained optimistic about the impact the Warriors will make once healthy. Speaking with NBC Sports Bay Area, Curry isn't becoming a prisoner of the moment with what's going on now. Instead, he's enjoying the young players developing, and he's focused on the core returning to full health.

“Yeah, because I know our core and who we're going about it with – myself, Draymond, Klay and D-Lo – and what we're all capable of,” Stephen Curry said. “It's an opportunity for the young guys to develop, but it's interesting. We're always prisoners of the moment, so it's hard to see the big picture.

“In the normal NBA journey, there will be years when you have to figure it out. It doesn't always work out, so you have to bounce back. But we're in the middle of this, and it's hard to put into perspective what that is, as we go forward. We're all optimistic about what we can get back to once we're all healthy and are able to see what our team will be.”

While Warriors nation isn't enjoying this — and the NBA world is — it's great to see Curry remain optimistic.

Kerr has maintained the same positive attitude for the Warriors, saying that he is enjoying the season despite their struggles.
