The more games Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry plays, the clearer it gets that he’s the greatest shooter ever in the NBA. While Curry has yet to ascend to the top of the all-time list of 3-pointers made, the money is on him eventually getting there.

As for now, Curry can settle with the fact that he’s got more playoff games with at least five 3-pointers made than anyone in NBA history.

Curry has 39 such games so far in his career, 18 more than the No. 2 player on the list, Ray Allen, who had 21 during his days in the league. In fact, Curry is so well ahead of everybody else that he’s got more five 3-pointer games in the postseason than the combined total of Allen and another legendary shooter in Reggie Miller. Miller is fourth on the list with 13, per Basketball-Reference.

Curry got his 39th on Sunday when he drained an astounding total of nine 3-pointers in the Warriors’ 122-103 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of the 2018 NBA Finals. All told, Curry shot 11-for-26 from the field and 9-for-17 from distance. He now has 14 threes through two games in the series. If he remains just as hot from deep for the duration of the NBA Finals, he may not have to wait for at least another year to break Allen’s record of 385 long distance made in the playoffs. Curry is right behind Allen with 370.

Curry can continue inching closer to that mark this Wednesday, as the Warriors travel to Cleveland for Game 3 of the series.
