It's not every day that we see Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry unleash a dunk. But during the pre-game warm-ups on Wednesday, Curry did not only show off his hops but also pulled off his best Baron Davis impression.

For Warriors fans since the mid-2000s, you should already know where Curry got that celebration. But for those who just recently joined the bandwagon, check the next clip to see the progenitor of the taunt.

For some context, Baron Davis unleashed that now-infamous celebration during their second-round series against the Utah Jazz. To get to the first round, they Warriors upset the first-seeded Dallas Mavericks in six games. Davis, Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson, Al Harrington and Jason Richardson, among others, were the leaders of the legendary Dubs roster.

Curry definitely knows his history, and it is not the first time he paid homage to those that came before him. In a press conference in 2019, Curry actually showed up donning a Monta Ellis jersey. He also spoke highly of his former teammate during the presser.

Stephen Curry knows a lot about the Warriors franchise, and he acknowledges that players like Davis and Ellis helped make the organization what it is today.
