Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns have punched their ticket to the NBA Finals. One of the first to congratulate the point guard and his squad is no stranger to the stage himself: Golden State Warriors icon Stephen Curry.

The Warriors star didn't wait long after the final buzzer of Suns-Clippers Game 6 to give CP3 some well-deserved love.

Stephen Curry and Chris Paul have featured in some heated battles over the past decade. Clippers-Warriors was must-see television back when CP3 was still running Lob City. Paul was also at the center of the Houston Rockets team that threatened Golden State's reign over the Western Conference. Many have speculated that if his hamstring held up against the Warriors back in 2018, the Rockets could have gone all the way that season.

But with the Warriors no longer the dynasty that they once were, Chris Paul has created a new West powerhouse in the Phoenix Suns, alongside young stars Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton.

Chris Paul has done everything you could ask for in a Hall of Fame resume, with the coveted championship ring being the lone achievement that eluded him. He was always going to go down as one of the greatest point guards ever alongside Magic Johnson, John Stockton, and Warriors' Curry, but his place in the tapestry of NBA history will reach new heights if he manages to win his ring.
