Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson is known for dazzling crowds with his textbook shooting form. However, the biggest highlight of his Saturday night came via a dunk in the third quarter over San Antonio Spurs small forward Davis Bertans.

The slam understandably took the Warriors' bench by shock as it is not something Thompson has made a habit of doing. The only one seemingly not surprised was point guard Stephen Curry, who then referenced a time when small forward Kevin Durant made Thompson's poster back in 2015 when the 2014 MVP was still with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

To be fair, not many can recall Thompson's thunderous dunk over his future teammate. However, it was clearly a play that has stuck in Curry's memory bank through the years. Needless to say, that was some time ago as not only was power forward Serge Ibaka still on the Thunder, but a young Steven Adams can also be seen without any hair and an unfinished arm sleeve.

That said, Thompson has since managed to occasionally show off the vertical with high-flying dunks such as this one. Perhaps what made it even more impressive is that Durant is now one of the league's early candidates for Defensive Player of the Year.

Regardless, both Curry and Durant have to be thankful for Thompson's scoring performance in their 122-105 victory over the Spurs on Saturday night. The four-time All-Star led the team with 25 points while going 5-0f-6 from the 3-point line.
