LeBron James vs. Stephen Curry has arguably been the marquee NBA rivalry for nearly a decade. Ever since the Golden State Warriors locked horns with the Cleveland Cavaliers all the way back in the 2014-15 season, it was a foregone conclusion that those two would be the league two titans battling it out for years to come.

But circle back just a few years before that and the Warriors star was just a rising star in college, and LeBron James was an admiring idol watching his games as the top dog (err, Wildcat) at Davidson.

In a recent interview with GQ, Stephen Curry revealed that he's still kept one awesome gift he got from LeBron James from before he even joined the Warriors –  an autographed Cleveland Cavaliers jersey with a personal message.

“I was a sophomore in college and LeBron was coming to my games!” the Warriors guard said. “I actually still have the jersey he gave me. He signed a jersey for me. I think that was November of my junior year. On my wall at my parents' house in Charlotte, it's still there. And he wrote it to me, called me the king of basketball in North Carolina. So I guess it's like the corny idols-become-rivals thing.”

One can only imagine how much that jersey would price at an auction if the Warriors guard ever decided to put it up for sale. But to someone like Stephen Curry, who was one of the few stars to ever knock off LeBron James off his perch atop the league, that jersey is priceless.
