If there is one mistake Boston Celtics fans made in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, it's the fact that they annoyed the hell out of Stephen Curry. In response, the Golden State Warriors star punished their team with 43 points.

While Curry actually didn't need any extra motivation since he knew that they can't afford to lose Game 4 and give the Celtics a 3-1 lead, the Warriors sharpshooter admitted that the Celtics fans' jeering and hostility towards them gave him that added juice.

Curry was also emotional right from the start of the game, and it's all thanks to Celtics fans.

“A lot of it is because of how hostile the environment was, the fans chanting, doing all their shenanigans and all that,” Curry said about his big game and how the Celtics crowd influenced it, per Joey Linn of Sports Illustrated. “Boston knowing how big of a game it is for them, if they get the win they control the series, so it's all that mixed in. And the experience knowing how fickle momentum is in the Finals. We've been through it all, so try to rely on past experience to understand how important that was.”

For what it's worth, when Stephen Curry started talking trash to the Celtics crowd, Draymond Green knew he's going off. The Warriors vet admitted it was never a good sign for their opponents when Curry started like that since it means the sharpshooter has the extra fire inside him.

Sure enough, Curry powered the Warriors to the crucial 107-97 win, collecting 10 rebounds and four assists on top of his 40-piece.

It is definitely great for Celtics fans to show support their team and make the Warriors feel unwelcome. Unfortunately, they chose the wrong guy to mess with.
