Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards had himself a game on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors. The 20-year-old exploded for a career-high 48 points against the Dubs, which prompted a bit of smack talk from the Timberwolves stud.

At one point in the game, Edwards decided to chirp at Warriors superstar Stephen Curry. It looks like Steph had to do a double-take on what Edwards was trying to do, and as soon as Curry realized what was up, the former back-to-back MVP let out a savage reaction for the Minnesota youngster (h/t Bleacher Report on Twitter):

Edwards literally told Steph that he was about to get a 50-piece on him. At that point in the game, Ant was already at the 40-point mark, which incidentally, was just two points away from his previous career-best of 42. Edwards was clearly feeling himself and he made sure to let Curry know.

For his part, the Warriors star initially walked past Edwards but moments later, it seems that he wanted to clarify exactly what the second-year Timberwolves guard had to say. Curry's reaction was epic as he just gave Edwards a nod and a smirk, as if telling the kid something sarcastic like, “OK young'un, you do what you have to do.”

For what it's worth, Edwards missed the 50-piece by two points, but it was still an epic performance from him nonetheless. However, it was Curry who got the last laugh with his Warriors emerging with a 123-110 win over Edwards and Co.
