The Golden State Warriors have had a rather strange season thus far. Of course, injuries up and down the roster have made things a bit difficult, but they just haven't looked like themselves in general.

Call it regular-season malaise, but the Warriors actually do look vulnerable this year for the first time in a while due to their lack of depth.

That's why Stephen Curry is anxiously awaiting the return of DeMarcus Cousins, saying that Golden State is going to look pretty different when the big man gets back on the floor, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

“It’ll be like a brand new season (when he returns),” said Curry.

That being said, the Warriors are beginning to lose their patience waiting around for Cousins to return, which is pretty strange because they knew the deal when they signed him over the summer.

“It’s almost 2019,” one team source said. “The clock’s starting to tick.”

Uh, did you expect him back before January?

Cousins tore his Achilles in late January of last season, probably the most devastating injury that a professional athlete can suffer. Recovery time for such an injury is generally about a year, and it hasn't been a year yet.

For a guy who is nearly seven feet tall and probably weighs around 300 pounds, even a January return seems like the ultimate best-case scenario, if not even a bit unrealistic.

It's obvious that some people in the Warriors organization are just starting to become frustrated and general, as Golden State has sleepwalked to a 22-11 record thus far this season.
