Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry says small Kevin Durant is “doing whatever he can on a daily basis to get healthy.”

Durant has already been ruled out for Game 2 of the NBA Finals, which is on Sunday. KD didn't practice on Saturday.

Curry says when a player is injured, the feeling of alienation can come up because while the rest of the team is practicing and preparing for games, the injured player is alone doing rehab with the trainers.

Curry, though, says Durant has done a good job of staying around the Warriors players during his recovery.

“Anybody who goes through an injury like that, you kind of feel alienated because your schedule is a little different,” Curry said, via Brian Mahoney of the AP. “Most of the time you’re on kind of (isolation) with our athletic training staff, putting extra hours in. Stuff starts to feel monotonous, especially with the big stage of the finals here and now.

“So I think he’s handled that well, understanding his time is coming sooner than later and he’s doing whatever he can on a daily basis to get healthy.”

The Warriors are hoping to get Durant back for either Game 3 or 4 in Oakland.

Until KD gets back, Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green will have to hold down the fort.  The Warriors only lost Game 1 by nine points. It wouldn't surprise anyone to see Golden State win Game 2 up in Toronto.
