After winning back-to-back MVP trophies and bagging three championships in the span of four years, some may question the level of motivation Stephen Curry and his Golden State Warriors currently hold. In a recent statement, the 30-year-old has made it abundantly clear that this is a non-issue, and that his side are more determined than ever.

Addressing the local media during the Philippine stop of his Under Armour Asian tour, Curry explained the type of mentality the Warriors will have throughout the upcoming season.

“We want more,” exclaimed Stephen Curry, via Michael Angelo S. Murrillo of BusinessWorld. “We want to accomplish the ultimate feat of winning a championship every single year.”

According to Curry, the end goal has always been, and always will be lifting the championship at the end of the season. This is what drives him and the rest of the Warriors organization to put in the work day in and day out.

“That is why you work so hard in the off-season,” he added. “It is why you put in the hours every day to get the right mindset to get your body ready and take advantage of a very short basketball career and try win as many titles as you can.”

It is apparent that the last thing Curry intend to do is to rest on his laurels. This is absolutely the right mindset to have with 29 other teams looking to take advantage of the slightest of slips in mental fortitude.
