Expectations run high for the Golden State Warriors this coming season. A lot of it falls squarely on the shoulders of Stephen Curry. How heavy that burden is, exactly, depends entirely on his supporting cast.

The Warriors haven't made any roster-shifting moves this offseason. Many expected them to at least consider trading James Wiseman (they did not) and more likely move one or both of their lottery picks in the 2021 NBA Draft (they did not).

During his Media Day sitdown, Stephen Curry was quizzed on his expectations for the Warriors front office, particularly when it comes to chasing down talent to help them on their quest for a fourth title this year.

Via Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area:

Curry was asked if he expected the Warriors front office, despite its massive luxury tax bill, to be aggressive in pursuit of players to improve the team. Asked if he wanted them to be “very aggressive.” And asked if he would “be bothered” if they were passive.

“Yes,” he said. “To all those answers.” “Yes, in the sense of we're having those conversations where you have to be on the same page in terms of what would fill that role and that need,” he said. “But yes, I would expect all three of those questions to be yes.”

Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, have all been vocal this offseason about their desire for more win-now pieces. So far, the Warriors front office hasn't swung for the fences just yet. But a lot can change as the season rolls around.
