Stephen Curry and LeBron James have met in the NBA Finals for the past four years. This season, the Warriors are making a fifth straight appearance on the NBA's biggest stage. James' Lakers, however, failed to reach the postseason. In light of this fact, Jimmy Kimmel Live's Guillermo Rodriguez asked Curry to sign a “Wish you were here” card for James.

James and Curry are familiar foes. Their rivalry began in the 2014-15 season, when they met for the first of four consecutive NBA Finals. Prior to the streak beginning, no pair of teams had faced each other in more than two consecutive Finals. Golden State claimed three titles over that span, while Cleveland claimed its first in 2016.

Earlier this season, Curry was asked if he would miss playing James and the Cavs in the Finals:

“Steph, a lot of us are going to miss Warriors-Cavs in the Finals,” a reporter said to Curry in December. “Will you (miss it)?”

“Yeah, it was a historical battle in terms of how people look at those four years,” Curry replied. “Obviously, we had some great memories, and some tough memories. I'll definitely sit back on the couch in 10 or 12 years when it's all over and think about what it was like to play here and how high the stakes were.”

Although they were favored heading into this season's NBA Finals matchup, the Warriors are currently trailing the Raptors by a tally of two games to one. Curry has played well, scoring a career playoff-high 47 points in Wednesday night's Game 3 loss. However, Golden State is dealing with several injuries, including those to Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Kevon Looney.

The Warriors and Raptors will meet for Game 4 on Friday night. Tip-off inside Oracle Arena is set for 9:00 p.m. ET, with ABC having love broadcast coverage.
