The Golden State Warriors have won seven of their first eight games this season, tied for the best in the league. But that hasn't stopped head coach Steve Kerr from tweaking rotations for the team—and that even includes Stephen Curry.

The Warriors star was asked about Steve Kerr's latest adjustments to his substitution patterns. While he dismissed any concerns against the changes, Stephen Curry didn't exactly sound enthused by them.

“We're winning right now,” said the Warriors star. “It's still early in the year.”

“I wanna play 48 minutes. I'm always surprised when I come out,” answered Curry when asked about getting pulled earlier than expected. “We'll fine-tune that as the season goes on, but we're winning.”

Stephen Curry usually starts out entire quarters for the Warriors. He'd play the entirety of the first and third, allowing him to close quarters and keep his rhythm going. He'd then return halfway into the second and fourth frames.

That's how things looked at the start of the year. But in their recent games, Steve Kerr has been subbing out Curry mid-quarter to steal away some minutes of rest for his star player.

“I'm open to different looks that may keep minutes monitored but still allow it to be continuous so keep it really to what I'm used to, but again it's a long season and these things get ironed out pretty quickly,” the Warriors star said when asked further.

It's hard to nitpick anything with the Warriors starting off 7-1, but even the best teams continuously try to get better as the season goes on.
