The Golden State Warriors suffered another defeat on Thursday, falling to the Denver Nuggets, 114-104. This was the Dubs' third loss in their past five games, as they now sit at 6-6 to start the new season. For his part, Warriors superstar Stephen Curry isn't exactly jumping the gun after what has been a pedestrian start for Golden State.

The former back-to-back MVP, however, was able to see the silver lining in his team's mediocre status of late, as he spoke about the positives of what has been a rather slow start for the once mighty Warriors:

“6-6 with us learning on the fly, Draymond missing the first two, it's a solid place to be,” Curry said, via The Athletic's Anthony Slater. “We can play a lot better and hopefully our record will indicate that once we learn our lessons we need to learn. Jumbled standings…I guess I do like where we are.”

Curry isn't wrong here. As it is, the Dubs are still sitting at the eighth spot in what is currently a wide-open Western Conference. Then again, it's hard to deny that most folks were expecting much more from Curry and the Warriors, especially after the atrocity that was their 2019-20 campaign.

For his part, though, Curry has been put his team on his shoulders of late. The 32-year-old is currently putting up averages of 28.4 points (on 44.7 percent shooting), 5.6 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.3 steals in 34.5 minutes per game. Curry is also draining 4.2 triples per contest on a 37.6-percent clip, as he continues to show flashes of the Steph Curry of old. Now if only he could get some much needed help.
