The Golden State Warriors will be missing the services of rookie James Wiseman after he sustained a sprained wrist in their win over the Detroit Pistons last Saturday night. Warriors star Stephen Curry bared how his team is planning to adapt to the absence of their starting center for the next 7-10 days.

“We’ll figure it out,” Stephen Curry said via The Athletic. “We’ve been working on some things with our small-ball lineups — EP at the five, (Damion Lee) at the four. Juan (Toscano-Anderson) will probably get some minutes. All hands on deck.”

Midway through the third quarter against the Pistons, Wiseman went for a dunk from a Draymond Green pass over opposing big man Isaiah Stewart. He made the basket plus the foul but eventually held his wrist in pain while on the floor. He managed to make the bonus free throw but he was visibly hurt in his left wrist, which is also his shooting hand.

James Wiseman finished the game with 11 points and nine rebounds in 17 minutes of action. The rookie is set to miss the Warriors' upcoming tilt against the Boston Celtics including their Texas road trip which consists of back-to-back sets against the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs.

Nonetheless, head coach Steve Kerr and his squad came in prepared in response to Wiseman's injury. Kevin Looney remains to be the other healthy big man on their current roster, with Marquesse Chriss now ruled out of the season due to an ankle injury.

With a thin frontline rotation, the Warriors are forced to switch back to a small-ball scheme with Green set to see more action at the five along with Eric Paschall. Swingman Damion Lee will also be playing at the power forward spot with Juan Toscano-Anderson set to have increased minutes for the time being.

After amassing an 11-9 record, the Warriors will now look for their second straight victory when they host the visiting Celtics on Feb. 2.
