Could Dell Curry be making an appearance in the Three-Point Contest at NBA All-Star Weekend on Saturday night? Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, who will be participating in the event along with his brother, Seth, said that his dad will have some sort of surprise in the contest, according to Mark Medina of The Mercury News.

That would definitely be interesting, as Dell would not only be joining his oldest son, but also his youngest son, Seth, who will also be taking part in the event.

Dell Curry played 16 seasons in the NBA, beginning his career with the Utah Jazz during the 1986-87 campaign. He also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors, but most of his career was spent in Charlotte, where he developed into one of the deadliest shooters in the history of the game.

A lifetime 40.2 percent three-point marksman, Dell spent 10 years with the Hornets, shooting over 40 percent from downtown in each of his last seven years with the club.

Then, in his lone season with the Bucks during the lockout-shortened 1998-99 campaign, Dell connected on 47.6 percent of his long-distance tries to lead the NBA.

In addition to his terrific three-point success rate, Dell owns career averages of 11.7 points and 2.4 rebounds over 21.7 minutes per game while making 45.7 percent of his field-goal attempts and 84.3 percent of his free throws.

Meanwhile, Steph is hitting on 44.4 percent of his treys this season and owns a lifetime average of 43.7 percent from deep. Seth is shooting 46.5 percent from beyond the arc this year and has made 44 percent of his career triples, albeit on much smaller volume than his elder sibling.
