If you still needed proof that Stephen Curry needs to be in the MVP conversation, he has 53 of them. On a historic night at Chase Center, Curry brought out his inner-Bruce Banner and went absolutely berzerk on the Denver Nuggets after he erupted for 53 points to help the Warriors with a huge 116-107 win.

Flex on 'em, Steph (via Warriors on NBCS).

Prior to tip-off, Curry was just 19 points away from surpassing Warriors legend Wilt Chamberlain as the leading scorer in franchise history. The two-time MVP didn't waste any time and caught fire as he dropped all 19 points in the game's first 11 minutes. Talk about getting the message.

The Nuggets had no answer for Curry all evening as the seven-time All-Star torched the Nuggets en route to his ninth 50-point game in his 12 seasons in the NBA.

Curry was so hot that his teammate Juan Toscano-Anderson had to cool him off during his postgame interview.

JTA might need more than two ice-cold bottles of water to cool off Curry on a night like this. The 33-year-old was virtually automatic on 14-24 shooting from the field, including 10-of-18 from deep and 15-of-16 from the charity stripe. More importantly, Curry's big night gave the Warriors their third win in four outings as they continue to fight for a spot in the play-in tournament.

Time and time again, Curry has spoiled us with impressive shooting displays. Until someone legitimately takes his crown, Wardell Stephen Curry will continue to be the greatest shooter of all time. Ya'll can quote us on that.
