The Golden State Warriors will have yet another unique opportunity this season, to be the lone NBA team to visit the White House when they go to the nation's capital on February 28. But the issue of whether the team will go or not still persists.

Point guard Stephen Curry knows it will be a group decision, starting with the players and plans to vote “no” when asked if he'd consider going when his team takes on the Washington Wizards. The two-time MVP is hopeful to make a statement, as he has disagreed with plenty of actions and words that President Donald Trump has taken and said during his regime — hoping to make a stand by declining a visit.

“My views haven't changed at all. I don't know if they can be changed. That's… where I stand,” Curry said during Friday's Media Day, according to Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports.

Curry also noted that he “pretty much knows” where everyone in the roster stands regarding this choice, but will respect their privacy and allow them to make that decision on their own.

The 28-year-old point guard has been audibly displeased with the current regime, much like teammates Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, often stating his stance in social and racial injustices throughout the season.

“We have the opportunity to send a statement… to stand for something,” Curry said in an interview with ESPN's Rachel Nichols.

Head coach Steve Kerr; notably displeased with the president, had a change of heart following the championship, hoping to urge players to go to the White House in order to show a “gesture of good will” toward this regime.
