After a puzzling 1-2 start to the regular season the Golden State Warriors have picked up their usual winning ways, taking six out of their seven games, improving to 7-3 on the young season.

Head coach Steve Kerr believes his team has “turned a corner” after a 3-0 road trip this past week that saw Golden State defeat the L.A. Clippers, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Denver Nuggets by an average of 22.3 points per game.

“I’m really pleased,” Kerr said, according to Mark Medina of the San Jose Mercury News. “Three tough teams and obviously we’re rounding into form. We turned a corner, I think, in this trip.”

The Warriors were bit by the turnover bug at the start of the season, and it wasn't more evident than during a season-high 25-turnover performance against the Detroit Pistons at Oracle Arena, losing by eight points despite shooting a blistering 57 percent from the field.

“We just got better. We’re starting to put it together on both ends of the floor,” forward Draymond Green said. “We’re taking better care of the ball and we’re playing better defense. That’s the recipe. We know that. It took a couple of weeks for us to lock in on it.”

Golden State was a point shy of making history yet again, completing the first three-game road trip and beating all teams by 20 points or more — a feat that was erased from possibility after a Ricard Jefferson three-pointer with 22 seconds left in Saturday's game, as the Warriors dribbled out the clock. Yet the quality of wins has been there, averaging only 13 turnovers per game in this road trip — a mark consistent with the league's best in that category.

“Sometimes you need to get on the road to feel more threatened,” Kerr said. “A team like this, especially that is used to being successful, I thought we took a couple of those home games for granted.”
