Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was not happy after his team got blown out by the L.A. Clippers on Wednesday night.

The Warriors lost by 19 to a Clippers team that was missing four starters and lost C.J. Williams to a right ankle injury during the game. The Warriors were without Klay Thompson, who was resting, and Stephen Curry, who had tweaked an ankle at practice and was held out of the game.

Kerr dug into his team, pointing to many ways it didn't play up to par, per John Dickinson of 957 The Game.

“Our spirit wasn't right, our energy wasn't right, we weren't connected, and they were,” Kerr said during the postgame press conference.

Kerr said he felt the game changed in the third quarter when the Warriors essentially stopped playing solid defense and instead fouled the Clippers on multiple possessions.

“We were really undisciplined tonight and we lacked focus,” Kerr said. “Obviously I'm the coach so that's on me. I've got to a better job of preparing the team to play.”

In that third quarter, it appeared that the Clippers just wanted it more. The Clippers played harder than the Warriors, and even though Kevin Durant went for 40, he was eclipsed by Lou Williams, who dropped a career-high 50 points on the night.

It's possible that the Warriors let themselves relax because the Clippers are so comically undermanned at the moment. But if that's the case, the Clippers did the right thing in exploiting that and coming out with the victory.
