For as good as their backcourt has been in the last couple of years, the Golden State Warriors have struggled to find a truly dominant center to anchor the point. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke to the media on Tuesday to discuss both the short and long term situation at center for Golden State.

Injuries to Klay Thompson and Steph Curry and the departure of superstar forward Kevin Durant have quickly turned the Warriors from perennial contenders to NBA bottom feeders.

With a league-worst 12-41 record at the break, the Warriors led by Draymond Green and a litany of unproven talent haven't had much to cheer about.

At center, the Warriors have big men Kevon Looney, Marquise Chriss and rookie power forward Allen Smailagic who is the tallest player on the roster at 6-foot-10.

Out of all three of those players, Kerr mentioned the kind of player that Looney can be and how big of an impact that the 24-year-old can have on the team as a whole.

Injuries have hindered Looney's season as he has played just 15 games this season. In those 15 games, Looney is averaging 2.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in only 11.7 minutes a contest.
