Stephen Curry may be out right now as he recovers from an injury, but he still finds a way to make an impact for the Golden State Warriors.
While the Dubs claim that everything is under control after the heated argument between Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, a gloomy cloud is still looming over the Bay Area team. Stephen Curry, however, has served as the team’s positive light, according to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr via The Mercury News.
Curry is undoubtedly the face of the Warriors franchise. While Durant may be the team’s best player in terms of talent, Curry is definitely the most valuable. Even on the sidelines, he still finds ways to be a positive impact on the team.
It’s worth noting that Curry was not with the Warriors when the entire skirmish between Durant and Green went down in Los Angeles. While there is no way to tell if his presence could have prevented the confrontation, it still looks like he could have helped calm the situation down.
To add to the Warriors’ woes, they were blown out of the Toyota Center against the Houston Rockets in their first game with both Durant and Green active in the lineup since the altercation. However, this didn’t seem to bother Golden State as the two-time MVP was there on the bench to settle emotions down. Curry was almost like the sacrificial lamb as he was reportedly the topic of jokes on the bench to lighten up the mood.
Everybody needs a Steph Curry in their life to get it together.
