Golden State Warriors All-Star forward Draymond Green had another lackluster performance on Saturday, as he failed to help his side to a home victory against the Detroit Pistons. The Warriors suffered a 111-104 loss, with Green accounting for only two points (0-of-2 from the field, 2-of-2 from the line), six rebounds, three assists, and a block in 22 minutes of action.

Following another defeat, Dubs head coach Steve Kerr opened up about Green's struggles this season. According to the three-time NBA champion coach, he believes that Green is worn out:

“The last couple games he's looked tired,” coach Steve Kerr said of Green, via ESPN. “I think you've got to remember that he's the lone the guy, lone holdover from the group that's been to the finals five years in a row. He looks tired to me. I've been trying to give him a night off here and there. We probably need to do that. I think he's just kind of worn out emotionally and physically.”

With Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry both out with long-term injuries, and new recruit D'Angelo Russell also struggling with multiple injuries in his debut season with the club, Green is the last man standing for the Warriors. Initial expectations were that he was going to lead an extremely shorthanded Golden State side to a respectable record, but in truth, it has pretty much been the opposite.

It is also worth noting that Kerr's comments above seem to insinuate that the likelihood of Draymond Green being shut down at some point in the season is becoming more and more plausible. At this point, it will no longer come as a shock if the 29-year-old veteran ends up sitting out a number of games the rest of the season.
