Zaza Pachulia is the gift that just keeps on giving for the Golden State Warriors. We’re not referring to his limited offensive skill set but rather to his unintentionally loony ways on and off the court.

And we were again treated to a dose of Pachulia Saturday night when the usually flat-footed center turned on his jets and broke out for a fastbreak layup during the third quarter of the game against the Denver Nuggets.

We don’t really see Pachulia often finish during transition opportunities since it’s just not part of his game. The Warriors signed him to provide muscle up front, track down rebounds and loose balls, and set up bone-crushing picks to give the likes of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson the space to get off shots.

But outrunning everybody else on the fastbreak? That’s not typical Zaza so let’s just sit back and enjoy this rare show of sound-barrier breaking speed from the 6-foot-11 center.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made fun of the amount of time it took Pachulia to run the floor, but the big man had a perfect retort, per Anthony Slater of The Atlantic.

The Oakland Raiders have been a lousy rushing team this season, but I think they won’t consider calling Pachulia’s agent for running back help.
