Despite the return of the greatest shooter of all time in Stephen Curry to the lineup this season, the Golden State Warriors have still been unable to find their form this term. For Dubs coach Steve Kerr, the most difficult part of their struggles this season has been making the pieces fit.

Coach Kerr had an honest assessment as to why he believes the Warriors have not been very good this season:

“This is definitely the first time that the puzzle hasn't come together,” Kerr said, via Alex Didion of NBC Sports. “The first five years, obviously, everything went really smoothly. We had an amazing roster that fit perfectly, we had shooters, we had passers, we had defenders, we had two-way guys, and so we knew how blessed we were. This year, the puzzle has been much trickier to put together, and we've tried a lot of different things. We've tried different lineup combinations, different rotations, and tried to move the pieces around, and frankly, it has been very difficult to find anything that has been firm and successful.”

Kerr was very upfront with his statement here. He did not deny that he was blessed with a tremendous group of guys during their dynasty run, and that this was the main reason why they found so much success in the past.

Nevertheless, the three-time NBA champion coach remains confident in his current team. He knows that it's going to be a tough road ahead, but all hope is not lost at the moment:

“So, frustrating, but we have to keep going going, and keep searching, and keep searching for consistency so that we can finally get on a run. I think we won three in a row one time this year, that's it. We just have never been able to put it together, but I think we still can. I think there's still time.”

The Warriors face a tough test on Tuesday night when they host the mighty Milwaukee Bucks. They enter the game three games outside the playoffs picture in the West, and like Kerr said, a postseason berth is still well within reach.
