For the defending champion Golden State Warriors, the last couple of weeks have been quite a headache when it comes to their plethora of injuries on the roster. Although healing their stars is a big priority going forward, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr is also focused on who the Warriors potentially will face in April.

According to a video posted today by Warriors beat reporter Mark Medina of The Mercury News, Kerr said that if he had it his way, his team wouldn't have to face teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves or the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round of the playoffs.

“I would prefer all Pacific timezone matchups, but I don't think that's going to happen,” Kerr said with a big smile. “The league made that clear when they moved away from Vancouver and Seattle by eliminating most of the Pacific timezones. It's just my little jab at the league because I love those two cities.”

A video of the interview between Kerr and members of the media, which was posted to Twitter by Medina on Wednesday, can be viewed below.

Although the Dubs are going through a pretty rough stretch for the time being with the myriad of injuries they're dealing with, they're still locked in as the No. 2 seed in an extremely tight Western Conference playoff race.

Luckily, following yet another shorthanded 89-75 loss on Monday night to the San Antonio Spurs, the Warriors are off until Friday night. The Dubs will host the lowly Atlanta Hawks at Oracle Arena and will look to improve on their 53-18 record.
